Since Madonna draped herself in an American flag in 1990 and our country's top musicians declared that "Censorship is Un-American" in its first-ever campaign, Rock the Vote has engaged young people in the political process and built their collective power.
Founded more than twenty years ago at the intersection of popular culture and politics, Rock the Vote was created to support generations of young people who strive to create political and social change and get involved in the electoral process. The Rock the Vote 2012 wall calendar features select posters used in the organization's outreach over the last two decades, which provoked millions of young people to head to the polls.
No matter which political party was in power, which celebrity topped the charts, whether a fax machine or Twitter was used to get the word out, Rock the Vote was there to educate and inform. Join us and continue rocking the vote in 2012.
